When Do You Need Auspicious Time For Your House?
You need to select an auspicious date every time you start an activity that is considered “active”, “noisy” and/or enough to influence or disturb the energy inside and/or outside a given space like your house, office, store, or any type of enclosed space. The outcome from these types of activities that can stimulate both positive and negative energy depends on the “space and time” energy.
The “space” relates to the area or location and it is best expressed in direction and location. You need to determine the facing of your house accurately without any magnetic interference for this measurement to be of any use. The “time” which we relate to the energy of a particular moment is best expressed as “year/month/day/hour”. We need to relate time energy to the real yang qi by using the "True Solar Time".
“Space and time” are affected by a multitude of factors. “San Sha” or “Three Killings” for example is a type of energy that relates to the position of the planet Jupiter in relation to our planet earth. Its influence is revealed in different locations and directions every year and so on. San Sha is the most powerful energy known in the study of Feng Shui. Let me refresh your memory of your basic Feng Shui foundation. Imagine the powerful force it exerts by merely knowing that it is 318 times the mass of our home planet earth!

- Planting or cutting trees around the property
- Drilling, nailing or knocking down walls
- Putting wall paper
- Moving heavy furniture
- Changing bed head-pointing direction
- Installing water feature
- Installing air-conditioner
- Placing an electric fan
- Hanging pictures
- Re-wiring the house
- Dredging up water drains
- Hanging a signboard
- Changing or refinishing the floor, retiling or putting new carpet
- Polishing of marble or stone floors
- Moving into a new house, apartment or office
- Placing your Feng Shui cures or enhancements
Doing these types of activities without using an auspicious time may activate negative energy of the “year/month/day/hour” causing serious problems. The effects can start immediately and within 7 days and the bad luck will last at up to 4 months. Some directions can cause constant disturbance for as long as 12 years. If the activity cannot be avoided, always consult an auspicious time first!
